Intro to Jung: I'd Rather be Whole than Good

  • Chrysalis Institute 213 Roseneath Road Richmond, VA, 23221 United States (map)

Carl Gustov Jung, renowned psychologist, prolific writer, brilliant thinker, and flawed man, gave us a structure for thinking about being human, being whole, and making meaning in our lives. His ideas are complex, profound, controversial and often challenging to understand. At the same time, his work seems more relevant than ever.

Let’s start at the beginning and unpeel Jung’s most basic concepts then apply them to our own life experiences. This class will cover basic Jungian concepts such as ego, persona, consciousness, unconsciousness, shadow, complexes, Self, and individuation. Be ready to examine the most difficult material of all: YOU. We'll explore together as a community of seekers to make Jung accessible and applicable in our daily lives.
