Experienced practitioners will lead you through a wonderful synergy of relaxation and self-exploration. The day will include silent time alone as well as in community. Listen deeply to your body and witness the beauty of your soul through nature, silence, meditation and movement.
The retreat is suitable for those with all levels of meditation experience as well as for those seeking a day to go inward. Newcomers may find it helpful to attend the introduction to mindfulness program first, however, all are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
Susan Brock Wilkes, PhD, is a psychologist, university professor, and award-winning instructor. A certified spiritual director and trained MBSR/MSC teacher, Susan has presented nationally as well as for a variety of local nonprofit and faith-based organizations. Susan is highly regarded in the Mindfulness community and beyond. She is also a past President of Chrysalis and co-editor of Words for the Journey.
Martha Tyler, RN, CMT is a licensed registered nurse and a Virginia certified massage therapist, Her background includes a Master’s Degree in public health, and her interest and experience in promoting health and wellness, combined with a strong interest in anatomy, physiology, body movement, and the power of touch led her to create Still Point Massage Therapy, LLC. Martha serves on the board of Chrysalis Institute. Martha is a certified Let Your Yoga Dance instructor (trained at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health) and Integral Yoga teacher.
