Life is a process of change and growth. We know this to be true on every level of our being. We grow and outgrow things physically, emotionally, relationally, intellectually, and spiritually. Jung wrote that any encounter with the Self brings a defeat for the ego. He is describing the experience of the archetypal that accompanies times of crisis and change.
It is our human condition to consider surrender when all else seems to have failed and we do not know what to do next or where to turn. When faced with such, one might begin to ask - what is the nature of surrender? How do we surrender without giving up? What is it that we surrender to? What are the spiritual lessons of surrender?
Over the course of 3-weeks, we will explore these questions. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges of surrender and Jung’s thoughts on the process of Individuation and of the relationship between Self and Ego.
