This class includes a silent retreat day. We'll practice formal meditations learned in class (sitting, walking, body scan) as well as mindful movement and mindful eating practices. All you need are comfortable clothes and an open mind (no cell phones please!). Please bring a water bottle and afternoon snack. Tea and coffee will be available.
Sherry Klauer holds certifications in yoga, personal training, group fitness, coaching and is pursuing certification in MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction). Sherry dove into mind/body wellness after her daughter was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2009. She learned how to manage her anxiety surrounding the diagnosis through exercise, nutrition and practicing mindfulness.
John Taylor has practiced Reiki and other hands-on healing modalities for over 30 years. John is completing his teacher training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) through the UCSD Center for Mindfulness.
