Mindful Self-Compassion

We are often harder on ourselves than we realize. Your inner critic chirps, “Gosh, you really messed up! You are so stupid!” Would we ever treat our best friend the way we treat ourselves? Our thoughts shape are reality and negative thoughts can create deep unhappiness. Learn how to treat yourself as compassionately as you treat others. Become your own best friend and experience transformation at the deepest levels.
Based on the most current scientific findings, this 8-week course will aid participants in cultivating the skills of self-compassion in their everyday lives.

The focus will be on strengthening three core competencies: self-kindness, a sense of common humanity, and mindfulness. Through numerous practical exercises and teachings, participants will learn to treat themselves with the same kindness they might offer to a friend and experience the proven benefits.

In this empirically-supported compassion training program, you will learn how to:

  • practice self-compassion in daily life
  • motivate yourself with kindness rather than criticism
  • handle difficult emotions with greater ease
  • transform challenging relationships
  • practice the art of savoring and self-appreciation
